Repair Schedule
The purpose of the meeting was to put together a schedule for repairs and improvements for the Village Hall. We identified a list of jobs, which will be required to be under taken and prioritised into 4 different goals.
Immediate goals 0-6 months
Short-term goals 6-12 months
Medium term goals 1 year-2 year
Long term goals 2 year +
Lists of jobs are on an attached sheet.
The bank balance currently stands at £9000 and it was discussed that the balance should not be allowed to go below £5000.
The accounts will be published at the next village hall meeting
It was discussed that we need to put together a new group of volunteers who’s resources we can draw on to help out when required. We need to discuss at he next meeting and try and draw up a list of people.
Both the cricket club and football club have volunteered the services of some of its players to help with projects around the village hall. I suggest we take up their offer and get them booked in for some jobs.
It was discussed about the possibility of getting free labour from the prison service, which would be ideal for cleaning the roof. Doug was going to look into this and find out the details.
Members of the parish council had attended a meet the funder forum where information was presented on monies, which are available. Need to look at what we can get.
Any Other Business
The only other point raised was a compliant by the Football Club that cut pieces of newspaper had been left out to use as toilet paper rather than loo roll. (If this is to be the case could they please have the Sun as it has a better sports section than the times).
This was an issue that the committee new about and one of the options is replace individual toilet rolls with the large roll systems.
