HELD ON TUESDAY 13th MAY 2003 IN GREAT OUSEBURN SCHOOL.

 

 

PRESENT

Cllrs J Gill (in the chair), B Robinson, A Burrell, K Scott, R Girdham, J Rich, D Armstrong.  The Clerk and 6 electors.

MINUTES

The minutes of the last meeting were accepted as a true record.  Proposed by Cllr Robinson and seconded by Cllr Burrell.

 

CHAIRMANS REPORT

The chairman, Cllr Gill thanked the PC for it’s hard work and support over the year.  He thanked the retired clerk P Naylor for the work he had done for the PC and welcomed the new clerk, Jayne Winn.  He reported planning continues to be contentious but the PC do their utmost to work for the good of the village.

 

FINANCIAL

As at 31st March 2003 there was £112.41 in the current account and £15,177.62 in the money manager account totalling £15,290.03.

 

QUESTIONS FROM THE PUBLIC

1.         When will the plaque for the seat on boat lane be put up? Cllr Burrell reported
it would be done shortly.
2.         When will the flashing speed restriction lights be put up? NYCC – Highways
are dealing with this – Clerk to chase up.
3.         The Neighbourhood Watch sign on Branton Green is illegible? P Naylor to
clean.

ELECTION OF CHAIRMAN

The clerk asked for nominations for the position of chairman, Cllr Gill was proposed by Cllr Burrell and seconded by Cllr Rich.  There being no other nominations Cllr Gill was duly elected.

 

ELECTION OF VICE CHAIRMAN

The chairman asked for nominations for Vice Chairman, Cllr Robinson was proposed by Cllr Burrell and seconded by Cllr Rich. There being no other nominations Cllr Robinson was duly elected.

The minutes of the last meeting were accepted as a true record.  Proposed by Cllr  Burrell and seconded by Cllr Scott.

 

MANDATING OF CHEQUES

Signatories on cheques to remain the same, Cllrs Gill, Robinson and Burrell to sign.
