GREAT OUSEBURN PARISH COUNCIL ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING.

HELD ON WEDNESDAY 16th JUNE 2004 IN GREAT OUSEBURN VILLAGE HALL.

 

 

 

PRESENT

Cllrs J Gill (in the chair), B Robinson, A Burrell, K Scott, R Girdham, J Rich, R Kay, P Thompson.  The Clerk and 11 electors.

 

APOLOGIES

Received from Cllr Lewis, Cllr Brewis and Cllr M Rampling.

 

Retiring chairman Cllr Gill opened the meeting by thanking his fellow councillors for all their hard work, especially Tony Burrell who was also stepping down after 31 years of being a councillor.  He reported that he had always tried to do his best for the good of the village and it’s residents even though at times it hadn’t been easy! He thanked the clerks who had worked with him over 40 years, Miss Wilby, Peter Naylor and currently Jayne Winn.  He wished the new parish council all the best for the future.

 

ELECTION OF CHAIRMAN

The clerk asked for nominations for the position of chairman, Cllr Scott was proposed by Cllr Girdham and seconded by Cllr Rich.  There being no other nominations Cllr Scott was duly elected.

 

ELECTION OF VICE CHAIRMAN

The chairman asked for nominations for Vice Chairman, Cllr Robinson was proposed by Cllr Girdham and seconded by Cllr Thompson. There being no other nominations Cllr Robinson was duly elected.

 

MINUTES

The minutes of the last meeting were accepted as a true record.  Proposed by Cllr  Girdham and seconded by Cllr Rich.

 

MANDATING OF CHEQUES

Signatories on cheques to be, Cllrs Scott, Robinson and Kay.  Cllr’s Scott and Kay to go into HSBC in Boroughbridge with documentation.

 

There being no further business the meeting closed at 8.56pm.
