GREAT OUSEBURN PARISH

Minutes of the Annual Parish Meeting held on Wednesday 17^th May 2006 at 7.30 p.m.

in the Village Hall, Great Ouseburn.

Present: Mr K Scott (Chairman of the Parish Council), Cllr Chris Lewis (Harrogate Borough Council) and 15 local electors.

In Attendance: Mrs Z Hopps.

1. Minutes. The minutes of the Annual Parish Meeting held on 4^th May 2005 having been previously circulated were approved and signed by the Chairman as a correct record.

2. Annual Report of the Parish Council.

2.1. Chairman’s Report. The Chairman presented his report detailing the work of the Council during the year, and identified areas of work for the year ahead. (Copy appended to the minutes).

2.2. Finance. The Clerk presented an unaudited summary of the Council’s Annual Accounts for 2005/2006, copies having been distributed to all those present.

3. Other Items raised by Electors.

3.1. Flytipping. Flytipping of garden rubbish has been occurring on Lightmire Lane, just beyond the Village Hall. The rubbish includes some very large stones, which will be difficult to move. It was suggested that the tipping had taken place there because access to the ‘normal’ tipping area further down the lane entailed going past the gypsy caravans. It was agreed that there is a general problem of flytipping locally.

4. Next meeting. The next Annual Parish Meeting was confirmed for Wednesday 16^th May 2007.

There being no further business, the meeting closed at 7.40 p.m.
