MINUTES OF GREAT OUSEBURN PARISH COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON WEDNESDAY 16TH MARCH 2005 IN GREAT OUSEBURN VILLAGE HALL.

 

Present: Cllrs, K Scott (in the chair), M Rampling, B Robinson, P Thompson, J Rich. J Winn – Clerk and 8 members’ of the public.

 

Apologies: Cllr ‘s R Kay, R Girdham, C Lewis and W Brewis.

 

Minutes: The minutes having been circulated, were accepted as a true record of the previous meeting.  Proposed by Cllr Rampling and seconded by Cllr Robinson.

 

Matters Arising:

Village Hall:

The Village Hall Committee had got the bill from Bowyer’s reduced to £2,500.00.  The PC were asked to pay for this.  The Village Hall would pay a contribution towards the cost to the PC.  Proposed by Cllr Thompson and seconded by Cllr Rampling that the PC pay the bill.

 

Freelanding:

The Planning forms had been completed.  Proposed by Cllr Rampling and seconded by Cllr Robinson that the PC pay £55.00 for the planning application.

 

Highways/Speed Signs/Footpaths:

PC to meet C Craven from NYCC on 6th April at 10am at the Post Office to discuss all issues.

 

Dunsforth Carrs:

No Reply received.

 

Aldwark Bridge Tolls:

A Public enquiry will be held 20-22nd April at Linton-on-Ouse.  PC had no objections to increase in tolls.

 

Seat-Pipers Lane Pond:

A seat will be placed here in memory of Don Cross.  Cllr’s Rampling and Robinson to organise.

 

Correspondence:

Letter from Mr K Horner:

A letter had been received from Mr Horner, resident on Carrside asking that the 30mph signs on the approach to the village at Carrside by moved further towards the B6265.  Councillor’s to ask C Craven at meeting on 6th April what could be done.

 

Commuted Sums re Fence:

Planning:
HBC-Decisions:

1.         Moor Farm-Planning enforcement re Siting of Skips-HBC asked for skips to be removed within 28 days.

2.         No’s 2,3,4 and 6 Townend Court – Planning appeal for extensions to domestic curtilages – Dismissed.
Applications:
            
1.         4 Carrside – Erection of detached single garage – The PC had no objections.
            2.         Road to Queen Ethelburga’s from B6265-PC to write in favour of road but not of lighting.  Clerk to write.
           

Meetings:
Youth Forum:

Cricket would clash with Youth Forum on a number of dates.  Cllr Scott to inform Youth Forum of dates.

 

Village Hall:

See above.

 

Neighbourhood Watch:

2 Cars Stolen

 

A.O.B.:

 

Mooring/Allotment/Cricket Club/Football Club rents to remain the same.  Proposed by Cllr Scott and seconded by Cllr Robinson.

 

Bus Shelter to go on next meetings Agenda.

 

Village Web-site to go on next meetings Agenda.

The date of the next meeting will be Wednesday 27th April 2005 at 7.30pm in the village hall.
