Great Ouseburn Spring Festival 1st May 2011 11am-5pm |
|
The whole
village will become one big festival. Visitors will be able to follow a map
and wander through 12 beautiful open gardens. There will
be a craft fair in the village hall and a cafe serving wonderful
home cooked food. The village school will be open
with stalls, games and a BBQ. As visitors wander they will be able to hunt out vintage vehicles that will be parked
throughout the village. There will be a music and fabulous flower
festival in the church. There is lots for the children to do, they can
follow the scarecrow trail through the village, make a trip to the
playground, stop off at the village farm to feed the animals and
this year we will have a special 'animal garden' with rescue animals
for the children to see. Why not stop for lunch and a drink at our wonderful village pub - The Crown?
This year there will also be a ‘Garden Sale’ on the village green and a chance to pick up some top tips from the BBC’s very own gardening expert Nigel Harrison, who will be answering gardening questions.
All
money raised will go to village causes.
There are
disabled toilets available in the village hall. Ample Parking
will be available
